Packed it like a C-17 Loadmaster

Actually, I had a terrible nightmare...I was in an endless grass field with nothing on but a Speedo, being chased by a herd of motivated, pissed off bovines. My wife woke me and said "Shhhhh, your screaming is gonna get us kicked out of the campground!"

Camped...always camping. We jumped into the ADV1 so we could run a 4-person, stand-up-in tent...too old to be crawling on hands 'n knees into a little tent.

Last rest stop before home :( ....and yes, I DID manage to get the whole 30oz steak consumed at the Cowboy Dinner Tree...but, I'm tech--illiterate so you'll have to rotate your screen (that's a full-size baked potato in the foil next to it for reference)

End of ride pic taken by a real nice couple from Canada we chatted with for an hour...motorcycles, UTV's, camping, food etc. Nice folks. ADV1 did what we got it for...hauling camping gear. Repacking for a ride to the high desert in 2 weeks. Gonna try and tackle a THIRTY OUNCE, custom cut...

Yep, 34lb tent on top at back. Rides better with weight biased towards the rear. Right side front has 25L pannier crammed with glamping gear, rt rear is Rotopax, 1gal fuel/1gal water.

Breakfast in the parking lot, 'cuz....healthy choices. (and no...no plate needed for the ADV1 in Oregon....wouldn't run one if it was)

Don't know anything about a "spare" helmet...THIS is how I carry the 2nd one.

Just landed in Sequim WA for the next 6 days. Parked the bike 8ft from where the tent goes. Panniers fly open and in minutes it looks like we had to have had a gear-hauling chase truck. Ahhh...off in the distance one hears the soft humm of air conditioners on land yachts. Had the best Bristol...

Hi Jim, I've never hauled anything on top longer than a couple drybags end-to-end, and they've got built in straps that work well with areas on the ADV1 to secure to. One of the things I like about the ADV1 is it's a "platform" as opposed to something with no room for customizing. For what...

Just got back from a ride today and the shelf(left side)..."shelved" wonderfully.

    Field tested, at home

Well, NOW it rides in a Touratech pannier lid pouch, that I set in the bottom of the pannier to keep weight lower. The hard panniers are on the bike so I've always got it. (sry, I can't figure out how to "rotate" pic orientation)

    Field tested, at home

When we crashed in sand, in BFE Oregon, in the middle of the night on our way to Arizona, with a fully loaded ADV1 in tow, I WOULD'VE been fine using the cool MOTOWINCH(link below) to right the bike/trailer. I say "would've" because the winch was riding in a pouch, mounted to the crash bar....ON...
