California - 55 MPH while towing - applicable/enforced for ADV1??

For those of us in the (semi-) great state of California, has anyone exceeded 55 MPH while towing the ADV1 and been "awarded" anything for doing so from our friendly neighborhood law enforcement? Including a wave, thumbup, or legal document requiring the payment of monetary units?

We have one Beta Tester in the Bay Area who has exceeded 55 (an understatement to say the least) and to the best of my knowledge has not gotten any such documents. @Tony D. care to embellish? Any close calls?

OY! @PBKrarup waving hello from across the bay in San Mateo!
I've gone a bit above the legal limit, not advised of course but the ADV1 will do it, stable as a table.
I have yet to meet Office Friendly when showing my ass. But I did drive a truck with trailer at interstate speeds, in the carpool lane at night, and had CHP pull alongside and tell me via speaker to get the hell over to the slow lane and do 55. Then they rolled on.
Fingers crossed it stays that way.
HMU if you're free to ride this weekend or anytime!

Also, yes I've been awarded for my performance a number of times over the years, last time 2 years ago on the 101. No trailer. I'll bet that CHP would have NOT given me a ticket had I been pulling an ADV1.
Hey Luke! Build me a bobbin for a VFR800 willya? :p

Hey, Tony!

Going to the SFMC meet Sunday, 4AM to Mt Tam for Easter sunrise, followed by a breakfast back at the SFMC clubhouse plus a "blessing of the bike (& ADV1)??

Oh, and no doubt the ADV1 will perform well above 55, has it been tested at triple digits, or is that a secret password/handshake issue?? ;-)

Bewdy! DMed you about Sunday...
About top speed:
I will not engage in a pissing contest. The recommended top speed of the ADV1 is below the top legal speed in the US.
If you have access to a 20,000 runway and want to be internet famous, let's chat. I'm 100% serious about that.

Tony, how long & complicated was the process to get your ADV1 plated?
Cake walk, they did not even check that the lights worked. Just looked at the VIN in the cubby, sent me inside with the inspection paperwork.
Handed over the Manufacture's paperwork, done.
Down side? CA trailer plates are full sized, so it'll take a couple spacers and drilling the plate to mount it. Took me a trip to Ace Hardware and 10 minutes.

Pissing contest? No thanks!! :D

My jonesing for hitting the ton every ride has pretty much passed and I think I won't be lanesplitting as much with the ADV1, but that may change.
