Excellent, thanks! I'm looking at the 23" x 7" Universal MOLLE Panels - Made In USA, Lifetime Warranty - BuiltRight Industries to put there with some standoffs, along with the eyebolts on the sides, etc., and maybe their 6.5" x 7" for the front. I figure a 1" overhang at the end shouldn't be a...

What I Did On My Summer Vacation

I resemble that remark. :D Just wait until I get my own damned ADV1 and get it kitted out for radio and power. You're just envious. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

    Trailer for Goldwings/other touring bikes

Hi, Antal! Welcome to PASQ ADV1! I'm in line to get my own trailer for my GSA and have been sourcing power solutions. I went to Powerwerx and got their 60Ah solar panel and the PWRbox MINI Portable Power Box 20Ah. It's a LiFePO4 in a fused power in/out container. When I get my trailer, I'll...

    PowerWerks Megabox fitment?

Yeah, I'm not depending on the CANbus to charge the Powerwerx battery, that's the solar panel's job. :D I worked with a guy on the 14th (Jay Fenton) taking down a ham operator's 30' antenna from his home and then toured Jay's welding/fab shop in Richmond. Very knowledgeable and if you ever...

What I Did On My Summer Vacation

My day was completely unlike yours. :D I ran the bike 142 miles down to Madera on Rt 99, had lunch at Perko's Cafe - 1825 Cleveland Ave, Madera, CA 93637 - (California burger and vanilla shake made with Dreyers), then visited Quady winery where I picked up a few bottles of vino. Temps hit 95F...

    Let them eat cake.

Only visible differences - I have the black rims and don't have the top case. I suppose we could do a point-by-point comparison some time. :D

What I Did On My Summer Vacation

As long as I've lived here in CA (1999?), I've gone past but never visited Lake T. I should probably fix that problem...

    Let them eat cake.

I'm getting the non-testbed ADV1, hopefully fairly soon after Rod & Luke return from the MOA rally, and it shouldn't be bobbin/axle assembly, but still...

Nice writeup, thanks!! "The heat from the exhaust MUST be deflected away from the Bobbin." Any hints on doing that?? Rod, Luke?? Thoughts??

    PowerWerks Megabox fitment?

Any way I can get a top-down picture of the top compartment? I keep on thinking there's a step/platform at the back that's a few inches deep, am I imagining things? Also imagining that the sloped angle is about 45-degrees & 4-5" long? No rush/hurry, just trying out LibreCAD for funsies. :D

    PowerWerks Megabox fitment?

Well, I'm getting senile, because I have to consider both the battery box AND the ham radio base to be stored in the top compartment and figure out antenna placement, antenna cable, power cords to either the battery box or the main bike battery, AND CAT5/6 to the radio head at the handlebars...
