Out for a ride

Hit the road today in Idaho, had about 20# on trailer.
Still snow up in the hills. Didn't go off road, to muddy and rutted. Did hit several spots of loose sand/gravel from the winter, in corners of course. I notice the set up appears more stable with the trailer on when traction becomes questionable in a corner. Still got a few full adrenaline dumps. Did about 60 miles overall.

I've been able to ride at least 100 miles every month so far this year. Bought a heated jacket. Game changer, no more Michelin man.
Last Saturday attended a group ride. Hooked up the trailer. Knew immediately it was back there.
But after about 20 minutes it was feeling much better. Had to get use to it again. Backing the trailer is so much fun!

Idaho is thrawing?? That's great! I rode about 20 miles the other day to move a bike from Luke's to the office...no ADV1 and all commuter Interstates, but it was good to be on the bike. I was very much "Michelin Man"'ed out but was still fine.

This is super interesting! We'd love to hear if anyone else has this feeling. I know that when I've ridden on loose stuff, I imagine the ADV1 is like a rudder and helps to keep me going straight and less squirrelly.

I had the same reaction for the first ride this year, but it wasn't long until I didn't feel it back there. Or maybe better put...until it felt normal.

Says the professional truck driver. 😤

You guys are doing it backwards.
I trailered my bike down to the dealer for it's annual service in February and as soon as I got home, I hooked up the ADV1 and took it for a ride.
No adjustment period because I didn't ride without it first, LOL!

But seriously, other than some super slow, tight figure 8's, where it felt like I was using a little rear brake, I don't know that it is back there.
(But I haven't put any significant weight on it yet)

Since my ADV1 is connected to the frame and not the wheel, I'd be interested in seeing if that makes a difference. Having it connected above the bike's suspension vs. below.

TRAILERING A BIKE? NO! The trailer goes behind the bike.
UGH! These kids now days. Who'd put a bike on a trailer. Oh wait are we mounting to the frame on Harley's now? That's the only bikes I've seen on trailers.🤣😂🤣

Sometimes I need to keep my mouth shut.
