@Tony D. Did you get your cooler in CA?
No Bucees, this far West.
A friend was headed to Texas for a patent-troll trial, I told him to def check out Bucees, Shiner Bock, Czech sausage kolache a few other local delights. He returned with a Bucees cooler as thanks, which was too ridiculous to not use.
For cheap Mexican beer ;)

Their channel is one of my favorites. They also take American food and give it to high school kids in the UK to get reactions. Very fun.

Request for three pieces of info/measurement -

Dimensions of the shelf (width & length)

Weight capacity of the shelf (optimum vs max vs "oh, shit, I broke it!!") :D

Dimensions of the top back section (W & L) (preplanning drilling for molle plate)

No rush & so many thanks!!

Sure, here you go:

Shelf:
Length: 500mm (19-5/8")
Width: 275mm (10-3/4")
Height: 275mm (10-3/4")

I believe you are referring to the top section above the wheel?
Width: 200mm (7-7/8")
Length: 559mm (22")

I'm not sure of the shelf weight capacity. However, Richard has put two massive coolers on his shelves (I would imagine they weigh 30+ lbs) and has ridden a few thousand miles without issues. I would say 25 lbs is the recommended limit but around 50 lbs would probably be max.

Saw a gent this weekend with similar molle plates all over his panniers and topbox. They were some kind of plastic, he said the mounting bolts weighed more but they seemed beefy.

These molle plates are Amurican STEEL, I'm not going to risk using (probably Chinesium) plastic. I like retaining my expensive gear, thanks very much for asking...
