Post Questions Here...Or Post a New Thread! ➚

Welcome Jim! PASQ indeed does have a brilliantly engineered fold down shelf. Got mine mounted yesterday :) I'm going for a little ride this weekend I'll let you know how it goes. I have to find a cooler or a way to secure a couple bear cannisters, just had to wait for the shelf to arrive...

    Trip pics fro. SO

LOVE the asymmetrical look of the back bags! Also, it looks like you actually ride that effing bike. That is beautiful <sniff>

    California - 55 MPH while towing - applicable/enforced for ADV1??

Cake walk, they did not even check that the lights worked. Just looked at the VIN in the cubby, sent me inside with the inspection paperwork. Handed over the Manufacture's paperwork, done. Down side? CA trailer plates are full sized, so it'll take a couple spacers and drilling the plate to...

    California - 55 MPH while towing - applicable/enforced for ADV1??

Bewdy! DMed you about Sunday... About top speed: I will not engage in a pissing contest. The recommended top speed of the ADV1 is below the top legal speed in the US. If you have access to a 20,000 runway and want to be internet famous, let's chat. I'm 100% serious about that.

    Tire Pressure Sensors

I've run this one Amazon.com for a year. Plusses: -Cheap -Solar powered head, mounts perfectly on the headstock nut -One of the very few I found for trikes -Dedicated hardware, if my phone fails or the app crashes or whatev, but that is a personal preference Minuses: -Remove a TPMS sensor (or...

    California - 55 MPH while towing - applicable/enforced for ADV1??

Also, yes I've been awarded for my performance a number of times over the years, last time 2 years ago on the 101. No trailer. I'll bet that CHP would have NOT given me a ticket had I been pulling an ADV1. Hey Luke! Build me a bobbin for a VFR800 willya? :p

    California - 55 MPH while towing - applicable/enforced for ADV1??

OY! @PBKrarup waving hello from across the bay in San Mateo! I've gone a bit above the legal limit, not advised of course but the ADV1 will do it, stable as a table. I have yet to meet Office Friendly when showing my ass. But I did drive a truck with trailer at interstate speeds, in the...

    Fixed the Lean!

I left my 1200 Tenere parked in the front yard during some epic rain storms. The OEM kickstand foot sunk into the mulch. Twice in two months. My own damn fault. For my bike, my riding style, my often-urban-parking style, I'm looking for a fatter foot, shorter kickstand. But if it's not OEM...

    Field tested, at home

Makes sense, thanks! I have hard bags on the bike, soft bags on the ADV1. I've been considering swapping. When I travel, I take a work laptop. Gotta have a locking hard case, that is a nonstarter. But offloading that to the ADV1 is kind of an aspiration. Leaving the important "recovery" and MC...

Good to hear from you! Where on the '10 or on the ADV do you store the hoist?

    So cold, so worth it

Had a new clutch put in so it was time for a ride. I only  got 66K out of the original clutch and it was slipping before I hooked up my ADV1 so it was due. Opted for OEM, happy with that result. Thrilled really, pulls like a tank at low speeds again, I did not realize I was losing...

    Sunny San Francisco Day

Well, it is not THE most crooked street, that is in another part of the city. Topo-down video of that coming as soon as i have time to render it...

    Sunny San Francisco Day

Santa brought me an Insta360 camera. I was fascinated to see how the trap collapses(?) under braking, but in retrospect it makes perfect sense and NOW I know what that feeling is, starting and stopping. This is a very steep and windy road but seeing it in action, the mechanics of the system...

    Fixed the Lean!

That swiftkicker looks beautifully engineered. For my old Vulcan, I was able to swap out kickstands from other (junkyard) model Vulcans to get the right lean angle. negating the kickstand safety switch took longer than swapping the kickstand. No cool MC junkyards near me now, or I would hunt...

First Snow in Chicago and the First for the ADV1!

"Fairbanks AK?" Slowly he turned... What would it be like to have two ADV1s going to AK? Paul, tell me about what you've gleaned from The Milepost and let's talk.
