Well, I purchased the ADV1 when it was first offered (I'm #5) because it was perfectly suited to my needs, I ordered a pair of Mosko Backcountry panniers when they were offered at a 15% discount, and I'm generally on the lookout for good used gear ($100 for a 3-gallon RotoPax gas can w/mount)...
I'm going to experiment with that, whether it floats negligibly better if the two magazines are loaded. Oh, and I picked up 500 rounds of .22LR, so I'm not loaded for bear... Definitely loaded for empty beer cans, tho.... :D
I'm going to stick with available (Verizon) coverage for my phone & my SpotX GPS beacon.
I'm not that worried about trying to keep up with the Kardashians or Bachelor or Tigerman, whatever.
My wife was on Jeopardy and we DVR that & the various Nature/NOVA stuff, I'll catch up when I get...
Hey, Rod & Luke!
Minor annoyance, but... can the forum software be tweaked to allow the password to be kept in memory/cookies? My passwords are 16-character with caps & specials, and I'd like to NOT have to type it in all the time. Thanks!!
Yes, and I admit the possibility of hackableness...
Ride to Chicago, drop off the bike, fly up to Alaska until Rod & Luke are done, return, etc.
They don't call me "The Ultimate Trip Planner" for nothing... :D
Raul Julia said it best in "Cannonball Run", "What is behind me is not important!" 😂😂😂
I want the Warthog problem - not over-running my bullets & rockets...
As a long-time Yamaha rider (XS-500B, RD-400F (Daytona Special), XJ-650RJ (Seca 650 three times), I appreciate Yamaha reliability and character.
If it hadn't been for that insanely fun BMW K1200R in yellow, I might have never gotten the best-selling adventure bike in the world... :D
My lizard brain appreciates the compliment! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Motorcycle Ergonomics isn't current, but I'd love to emulate that sort of graphic calculation to visualize balance points, etc.
Yeah, I'm saving 1827 as my desktop wallpaper, hope you don't mind!!:cool:
Rod, I'll take a plethora of pics of mine when it's assembled & such, no worries!!
I also appreciate the Molon Labe & Gadsden flag stickers!
I'm going to use your configuration to show folks that I'm NOT excessively overloaded... :D
Well, that's unfair, sorry, I haven't gotten mine yet and I may have to eat my words... :D
When fully loaded, what's your ADV1's total weight & tongue weight?
Where is the center of gravity for the ADV1? Directly above the axle at some point, or does the hitch have any influence?
Is there a graphic calculator out there that can input various shapes & weights to figure out the best loading patterns?
