We left the ADV1 out as a front came through to see what the temperature drop would mean for the shock and some 3D printed parts we are experimenting with. We knew some snow was possible, but this is what we got!

I can't believe you'd subject the Beemer to that torture. Now you need head straight to Starbucks for some redemption.

Just my luck 2 60° days in a row at home. I'm stuck in the truck heading to Florida without a bike.

We haven't caught up in a while have we :)
I grew up in Alaska.
Worst part is, I'm just outside Tahoe and it's 40 degrees and no precip, it's bloody gorgeous riding weather.
And I'm in the truck :(

Where in Alaska? We're heading that direction in July. Any must see places? We're going up from Glacier working our way to the Alcan. At Dawson heading up to Tuktoyatuk. Where the bike, trailer and rider will get dipped in the Arctic. Then back thru Chicken. Over to Fairbanks thru Denali to Homer then work our way to the Cassier. I did a quick check last night and we'll probably be over 10,000 miles.
I've heard of people doing this trip anywhere from 3 to 5 weeks. I'm thinking 5 weeks minimium. In the flat areas 500+ miles per day. Once we hit the pretty areas 2 to 300.

"Fairbanks AK?"
Slowly he turned...
What would it be like to have two ADV1s going to AK?
Paul, tell me about what you've gleaned from The Milepost and let's talk.

The plan is to depart around July 1. Enter Canada at Chief Mountain. Run up to Jasper. Work our way to the Dempster, Taylor, Alcan. Up to Manley Hot Springs. Denali, Homer, Valdez, Seward, Whittier, Haines, ferry to Skagway work our way to the Cassier then south. I have as much time as needed. My buddy and his adult kids are on a limited time frame.
If we need to skip anything. I would think Fairbanks. Opting to turn south at Delta junction over the Denali highway. Into the park. Down to Homer and work our way back.
Are you headed up in '25? It would be cool catching a photo with multiple adv1's
