One less...

I've always liked the sentiment of One Less Car.

And as much as I love my ADV1, there is def a time and place to ride with only what fits in the pockets of my jeans.
Having one-less-key strikes a nice balance for me :P

I may return it for the black one https://www.amazon.com/Combi-Cam-7850R-L-Black-Combination-Black-Finish/dp/B0048C8TGS but likely not, I'm lazy.

This is one area where I differ from Tony, God bless & keep him. As an Army guy who dealt with weapons & sensitive items and an IT guy who had to keep employee records with SSNs & such, I would swap out that combination lock with a padlock & hasp. A Junkunc American series lock would be my preference, but I'll find a solution.
FWIW, Master Lock has come up with a BT outdoor (weatherproof-ish) lock, only $155 each... Bluetooth® Padlock - Outdoor H-7799 - Uline
which eliminates the need for keys altogether... ;-)

The 'stitch folks had a popup event here in the Bay Area recently. Darn good folks who make a darn good (range) of products. They gave me a new "one less" lic plate frame thing that will go on the ADV1, once I get a proper sized plate...
Had I not lived in Phoenix for (cough) decades and habitulalized mesh gear 9 months, heated 3 months, I would likely have bought a 'stitch by now, lord knows I spent enough on jackets and pants and closet space...

I've seen videos of guys with the Roadcrafter and R3 suits slip in and out in mere seconds. With my Klim boots I looked like a monkey having sex with a football. It takes a little practice. However the Darien 2 piece was more to my liking. With the outside the leg zippers and being custom fit to me. Quite impressive.
If only they would add more vents like my Klim Badlands. I believe the perfect suit would be the Aerostitch with Klim ventilation.

I made a donation of moto gear to Two Wheel Safety Training for students that have insufficient equipment.

Paul,

As an avid hdr, and r3 wearer, actually when its hot out, zip up! Put a wet towel around your neck, leave the arm guards a little open so air flows in from the arms/neck and out the back vent and you'll stay cooler and won't be as dehydtated have a long days ride.

You can probably get a "Chill Vest" at MC shops for about $30. Put it in a gallon ziploc bag, fill it with water, place it in the refrigerator overnight, and put it on when you get hot. It'll cool down your core within minutes. When you start to bake again, rinse & repeat. Works like a champ.

Those of you/us with coolers can obviously put it in the coolers with cold packs & cold water, etc... :D
