Honestly, that is a great thought: Swap swamp vests at every gas stop while riding in the desert. Unless your gas tanks have bigass range, then swap every 90 minutes.

Interesting Rod! Any markings or casting marks? I inherited a 1930s pan from the family farm, somehow cast then machined smooth on the cooking surface. Worked great but broke and I was never able to replace it.

Cast iron sounds lovely but I've used an alcohol stove since I was an Eagle Scout. My little stove would heat up that big ol slab of iron eventually, but I think I would starve t death first.

I've always liked the sentiment of One Less Car. And as much as I love my ADV1, there is def a time and place to ride with only what fits in the pockets of my jeans. Having one-less-key strikes a nice balance for me :P I may return it for the black one...
